Samsung Dishwasher Error Codes

Our updated guide for Samsung dishwasher error codes for  2025.

If your Samsung dishwasher is not happy it will let you know, by means of a digital display of alpha-numeric codes on its front panel.

A lot of these error codes are model specific, but there are some generic Samsung dishwasher codes that it’s useful to have a list of so that you can identify what the problem with your dishwasher is likely to be, and determine how to handle it.

In some instances, you may be able to resolve the issue with your Samsung dishwasher yourself, but if the code keeps re-appearing after your efforts its best to call in a professional dishwasher repair engineer or you may well just make the situation worse.
If you are experiencing problems with your Samsung dishwasher in Wiltshire or Somerset you can call on the experts, Bath Domestic Appliances, whose repair service covers not just the city of Bath but in and around the nearby towns of Trowbridge, Frome, Warminster, Westbury, Melskham, and Bradford on Avon.

Here is a list of Samsung Dishwasher informational error codes:

LC, LE

These codes indicate a leak has been detected, probably involving the drain hose, drain pump or the wash tub. It’s best to turn off the water supply, switch the machine off at the mains then call a professional to diagnose and fix the problem.

4C, 4E

When you see these codes you will know there is an issue with the water supply to the dishwasher. If you’re satisfied that the water supply is properly connected, turned on and not blocked in any way but there is still no water coming in then it could be that there is a defective cut-off valve, faulty inlet valve or similar problem.

5C, 5E

When you see these codes then check that the dishwasher is draining properly. Make sure the drain hose isn’t clogged up or has a kink. If that’s not the problem then you’ll need to have the drain pump investigated for wear and tear or damage.

HC, HE

These codes indicate a problem with the water overheating. You’re advised to empty the dishwasher then run an empty normal cycle with detergent. If this doesn’t solve the problem call an expert.

3C, 3E

When you see these codes you need to check that the pump in your dishwasher is operating properly. Turn off the machine and restart the cycle. If the code returns and the problem persists, call in a repair technician.

PC, PE

This is potentially a problem affecting the diverter assembly, the sump or the motor assembly of your dishwasher. When you see the code appear turn off the machine and restart it – if the code persists you’ll need a professional to investigate.

CA

Your dishwasher has a communication issue, probably caused by broken wiring or a fault between the main control panel and the sub power board assemblies. Call in a repair technician.

bC2, bE2

This code means that one of the buttons on the dishwasher is stuck, jamming up the system. You can try resolving the error by disconnecting the machine from the power then pressing each of the buttons on the panel in turn to unstick the problematic button. If you have a touch screen, wipe off any moisture or foreign matter with a dry cloth. When you turn the dishwasher back on the error should be fixed.
